Free Survey
We visit your home, count rooms, check stairs and lifts, and note anything heavy or fragile. Then you get a written quote. No charge for the visit.
Packing
Multi-layer wrap, room labels on every carton, inventory list. Crockery in partitions. Beds dismantled with screws bagged and taped to the frame.
Transport
GPS-tracked trucks. You get a delivery window at booking and a call when the truck is a day out. Not a vague "few days".
Unpack & Setup
Unload, reassemble what we took apart, cartons left in the rooms you marked. You point, or hand us a floor plan. Your call.
What House Shifting Actually Involves
Moving a home is personal. Clothes, kitchen, kids' things, that one heavy almirah — each needs a different packing method. The furniture does not worry most people. It is the glass, the crockery, and the fear that something important gets lost between boxes.
That is why we label every carton by room. Unpacking at the new place should not be a treasure hunt. Weekend and month-end slots fill first, so book the free survey a few days early rather than the morning of. That one habit saves half the stress people associate with shifting.
What changes the house shifting price
To be very frank, no one can give an exact figure without seeing your goods. Anyone who quotes a fixed price on one phone call is guessing — and you will pay for that guess later. The real number depends on:
Volume: how many rooms, how heavy, how fragile. A 1BHK is not a 3BHK job.
Floor and lift: third floor without a lift means more manpower or rope work.
Distance: within-city vs another state changes truck size, tolls and days.
Season: month-end and festival weeks book out; rates can firm up a little.
Packing scope: full pack vs transport-only. Tell us what you need.
After the free survey you get a written estimate with packing, labour, transport and insurance as separate lines. GST is shown as per government norms. If volume stays the same, the bill stays the same. Change the scope, we requote before anyone lifts a box.
Packing — the part people underestimate
Good packing is not stuffing things in a box. Crockery goes in partitioned cartons. Mattresses get covers so they do not pick up dust on the ramp. Wardrobe cartons let clothes travel on hangers where possible — saves you an hour of ironing later. Wooden crates are built for marble tops, aquariums, anything odd.
Standard packing material is part of our normal quote. Extra crates or special layers are clear add-ons, never buried in the total. If something is unusually fragile, say so at survey time, not after loading.
Insurance and the honest bits
Transit insurance is optional. We recommend it on longer routes and high-value loads, but the premium sits as a separate line so you can decide with clear eyes. Do not assume "everything is covered" because someone said the word insured at survey. Ask what the policy covers, what it excludes, and how claims work. Get that in writing.
We do not claim every move is perfect. We claim we show up with the right crew, pack like it is our own house, and fix mistakes when they happen. That is what 39 years of house shifting across India actually looks like.
How to hire — without losing your mind
Get at least three written quotes, not three WhatsApp messages with random numbers. Check the registration number and GST number. Insist on a written contract before moving day. Carry gold, papers and laptops in your own car — not in the household truck.
Watch for the company that is dramatically cheaper than the rest. First they offer the lowest estimate and later they demand more money. A sensible rate with a clear breakdown beats a steal any day.
Quick questions on house shifting
Do you charge for the survey? No. The visit and written quote are free, with no obligation to book.
Can you shift on a Sunday? Yes, if the slot is free. Sundays fill first, so tell us early.
Do I need to empty wardrobes and drawers? Clothes can stay if the piece is light. Heavy almirahs are emptied for safety. We will tell you at survey which is which.
What about my car and two-wheeler? We move them on carriers, not in the household truck. Ask for a combined quote if you need both.
How do I get exact charges? Free pre-move survey, then a written estimate. Phone ballparks are just ballparks.
Is GST extra? Yes — as per government norms on the final bill. Shown clearly, not hidden.
